Once again the elusive 400 bench press regains prominence
in my thoughts. In years past I've come as close as 375, and
about one year ago I was sitting at an easy 350 when my
gym suddenly went out of business and I couldn't afford a
more expensive one. Now for the past month Ive been train-
ing again, and back up to a shaky 315, at a ridiculous BW of
255. Over the coming year I want to slowly reduce BW
while at the same time increasing overall strength. A diff-
icult task, especially without Juice (that's not OJ boys n
girls), but certainly do-able. Im hoping the weekly hikes
will counterbalance any excess in calorie intake, because
if there's one truth about weightlifting, it makes you want
to eat entire refridgerators whole. So in essence this series
of blogs will be an exploration into how to achieve my, really
people, rather paltry goal. I mean a million dudes can bench
a 4oo RAW.
