So where did my deadlift go? I figured I was good for at
least 405 today. Had done 385 in a previous workout.
Perhaps the culprit was just being too tired.. Saturday
I went on a long hike on Pigeon Mt in NW Georgia, near
the lovely (yes, sarcasm) town of Lafayette. Talk about
about an old textile town gone to seed! Probably going to
need at least 2 days after a hike to lift effectively. Still
managed a decent workout. Finally hit the crunches for
three sets-- all ab exercises are abominations. Did speed
benches a la Westside Style, albeit seriously modified. If
I broke out the boards and chains and box squats in this
gym IM sure I'd be told to quit it fairly quickly or else get
kicked out. Not that I have any real desire of going full on
Westside, never did really. I like utilizing aspects of diverse
training styles. Just makes it more fun, to experiment.
The russians powerlift in even odder ways, will have to
study up on it. Since I did promise myself a Strength
Training essay.
